Mark Favell
Mark
Favell's passion for teaching was ignited through his association
with Master Instructor Dr. Jim Suttie, the PGA's 2000,
Teacher of the Year. Dr. Suttie had this to say about
Mark:
"Mark Favell is one of the most fundamentally sound teachers
in America. I have complete trust in his ability to give the
student the correct information and to communicate that information
in a low key professional manner. As a golf instructor and
a person, he is at the top of my list".
Working with Dr. Suttie at the Visual Golf Indoor Learning
Center in Chicago, Mark became an expert in the use of video
as an integral part of golf instruction. He moved on to become
the Director of Instruction at Medinah Country Club.
During his seven years at Medinah, Mark earned his Class
"A" PGA professional status. Mark rejoined Dr. Suttie for
three years at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, site of the
PGA tours Western Open, there they utilized the latest in
computer video technology while working with all levels of
players from beginners to PGA and LPGA professionals.

My husband, Brooks, and I spent
a couple of days with you in May at Sonoma Golf Club. As you
may remember, I typically was scoring around 100 or a little
less before attending school. For the next month or so –
breaking 110 to 115 became a good day. Just when I thought
my game could not get any worse – some of the things
we worked on starting kicking in. Earlier this month I had
my best round ever – shooting 86 and having a hole in
one! Carolyn Paul from Colorado

Dennis Mitchell
Dennis,
a San Francisco native, has over twenty-five years of experience
as a golf instructor, club fitter and business owner.
Dennis believes in a complete approach to game improvement
by addressing all aspects of the game. As an instructor at
the Doral Resort and Spa in Miami, he learned how to teach
from Jim McLean. Jim is one of the top 100 teachers in the
world. While there, Dennis worked with PGA, LPGA and top amateur
players. Competitive golf is still a passion and playing achievements
include winning at the junior, amateur and professional levels.
Dennis’ philosophy is that the golf swing cannot be
standardized to fit every golfer. He develops the golf swing
around the student’s capabilities and determines the
most effective way for the student to swing the club. He keeps
the swing changes within the style of the student. Fundamentals
are the building blocks for a consistent swing, and Dennis
emphasizes the FUN in Fundamentals.
It was fabulous in every
way. Dennis is the best of several teachers I've had. He is
disciplined, consistent, tough, enjoyable, and really focused
on the basics in ways I think will actually stick. I'd definitely
recommend your program to others - feel free to use me as
a reference. And I'll bet you'll be seeing me again!
