Soak in the wine country in a really fun way that combines the best of wine making and tasting to improving your golf game. Whatever you're level of expertise at either endeavor you'll be surrounded by opportunities to meet new people, learn and see the wine country from a wine maker's perspective.
Three-Night Itinerary.... Starting at $600 (lodging not included)
Day One- Meet Kris Moe and our staff at the end of the day over a glass of wine and we'll get acquainted and share an overview of the schedule.
Day Two- We'll get started early to caravan or shuttle to the vineyard while it's cool to pick some of the grapes. You'll get to see and taste the sugar levels of the grapes along with other secrets that make give the wine character over time.
We'll then crush and destem the grapes into big bins and ready them for the introduction of yeasts that'll turn the sugars into alcohol.
By now you'll be ready for a nice lunch and a sip or two of some nice 19th Hole Wine.
After lunch we'll visit the barrel room to try last year's vintage and a wine maker will educate you in the final steps before bottling the wine (how much oaking, the racking process, to sulfite or not sulfite, clarifying the wine, how to blend, which corks etc.).
In the later afternoon you'll have a couple hours of "you" time to recharge for dinner and music in one of Sonoma Valley's finest wine bars.
Day Three- We'll meet in the morning for a two-hour golf clinic and then play nine holes with your pro (one-day golf school class).
During the evening enjoy another fine restaurant and wines in Sonoma Valley. A cooking class is another option.
Day Four- Chill next to the swimming pool, go for a hike or enjoy a golf clinic before you head out.
We operate this program three times during the Harvest Season. September 24-27 we offer a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir winemaking program. October 15-18 and October 29- November 1 we roll up our sleeves and begin our production of the big reds, Merlots and Cabernet Sauvignon.
